Boost Your Body's Nutrients

Are your joint, hormones, heart, and immune system in a nutrient rut? Is the rising cost of nutritional supplements eating away at your budget? The first step toward optimizing your body health is a powerful and proven well-balanced combination of omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids. You can start today and add these nutrients that your body needs.

Save Time & Money by Knowing What to Take

These powerful nutrients assist your body in maintaining a healthy immune system, proper hormonal balance and a strong heart. They are also important for healthy joint function, prostate health, and youthful moisturized skin.

Omega-3 fatty acids are considered essential fatty acids. They are essential to human health but cannot be manufactured by the body. For this reason, omega-3 fatty acids must be obtained from food or quality supplements. Omega-3 essential fatty acids are important for healthy nervous systems, cholesterol levels, brain function and can reduce inflammation. Many people prefer to use supplemental forms of omega-3 essential fatty acids rather than from fish. It is important to remember that omega-3 essential fatty acids from fish oils need to be free from contaminants like mercury. EnerEFA™ from IMPaX WORLD is made without animal products.

Definition of Essential Fatty Acid: A type of fat that cannot be manufactured by the body and needs to come from the diet. Essential fatty acids include omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids both of which are found in EnerEFA™.

Not All Supplements Are Equal

You have neither the time nor the resources to take endless stabs in the dark. Thanks to the multitude of supplements on the market, plenty of people are willing to sell supplements with miniscule results with brute force techniques- we leave that up to others. We measure results in what people say about EnerEFA™.

The number of supplements you can take and are available becomes astronomical once you search the internet, including different ingredients, offers, packaging, and, the biggest variable of all, your motivations. When you consider that most of these factors are worth being informed about, you begin to see why prevention is key to figuring out what is what and what actually produces results.

Flax Seed Oil - is nature's richest source of omega-3 fatty acids and is the vegetable alternative to fish oil. Clinical research has shown the importance of omega-3 fatty acids for maintaining blood pressure, regulating triglyceride and cholesterol levels and keeping arteries clean and platelets from clotting. They also are important for healthy immune function and joint function.

  • Flaxseed oil is derived from the seeds of the flax plant. Flaxseed oil and flaxseed contain substances that promote good health. Flaxseed oil is rich in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an essential fatty acid that appears to be beneficial for heart disease, inflammatory bowel disease, arthritis and a variety of other health conditions. Flaxseed, in addition to ALA, contains a group of chemicals called lignans that may play a role in the prevention of cancer.
  • ALA, as well as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), belongs to a group of substances called omega-3 fatty acids. EPA and DHA are found primarily in fish while ALA is mostly found in flaxseed oil and other vegetable oils. Although similar in structure, the benefits of ALA, EPA, and DHA are not necessarily the same.
  • It is important to maintain an appropriate balance of omega-3 and omega-6 (another essential fatty acid) in the diet as these two substances work together to promote health. These essential fats are both examples of polyunsaturated fatty acids, or PUFAs. Omega-3 fatty acids help reduce inflammation and most omega-6 fatty acids tend to promote inflammation. An inappropriate balance of these essential fatty acids contributes to the development of disease while a proper balance helps maintain and even improve health. A healthy diet should consist of roughly two to four times more omega-6 fatty acids than omega-3 fatty acids.
  • Omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to reduce inflammation and help prevent certain chronic diseases such as heart disease and arthritis. These essential fatty acids appear to be particularly important for cognitive and behavioral function as well as normal growth and development.

Evening Primrose Oil - contains a rare nutrient, Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), which is needed for the body to make a family of hormone-like compounds called prostaglandins. These compounds especially affect the heart, skin, and immune system. Studies show it has beneficial properties for PMS symptoms including headaches, depression, and bloating and breast tenderness. It reduces menstrual cramps and uterine contractions.

  • Evening Primrose is edible and medicinal and has a long history of use as an alternative medicine. The leaves are cooked and eaten as greens and the roots are said to be sweet succulent and delicious when boiled like potatoes. Flowers are a sweet addition to salads or as a garnish and young seedpods are steamed. This plant was a staple food for many Native American tribes. Formerly cultivated for its nutritious edible roots, it is being increasingly cultivated for the oil contained in its seeds which contains certain the essential gamma-linoleinc acid (GLA), a very valuable fatty acid that is not found in many plants and has numerous vital functions in the body. GLA is an essential fatty acid that the body does not manufacture. This fatty acid is known to help prevent hardening of the arteries, heart disease, eczema, cirrhosis, rheumatoid arthritis, menopause, PMS, multiple sclerosis, and high blood pressure. It has a positive effect on sex hormone response including the hormones estrogen and testosterone, aids in lowering cholesterol levels, and is important in treating cirrhosis of the liver. Research also demonstrates that primrose oil helps relieve pain and inflammation. The oil also has a positive effect on the uterine muscles, nervous system, and metabolism. The bark and the leaves are astringent and sedative. They have proved of use in the treatment of gastro-intestinal disorders, whooping cough, and asthma. A tea made from the roots is used in the treatment of obesity. A finely ground powder made from the flowering stems is used cosmetically in face-masks to counteract reddened skins.

There are possible interactions when using flaxseed oil. If you are currently being treated with any of the following medications, you should talk to your healthcare provider.

Blood-thinning Medications

Omega-3 fatty acids may increase the blood-thinning effects of warfarin, aspirin, or other blood-thinning medications. While the combination of aspirin and omega-3 fatty acids may actually be helpful under certain circumstances (such as heart disease), these medications should only be taken together under the guidance and supervision of your healthcare provider.

Cholesterol-lowering Medications

Following certain nutritional guidelines, including increasing the amount of omega-3 fatty acids in your diet and reducing the omega-6 to omega-3 ratio, may allow a group of cholesterol lowering medications known as "statins" (such as atorvastatin, lovastatin, and simvastatin) to work more effectively.

Cyclosporine

Taking omega-3 fatty acids during cyclosporine therapy may reduce toxic side effects (such as high blood pressure and kidney damage) associated with this medication in transplant patients.

Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs)

In an animal study, treatment with omega-3 fatty acids reduced the risk of ulcers from nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). More research is needed to evaluate whether omega-3 fatty acids would have the same effects in people.
